Decision time... 

I have chosen to work in a pair for my music video project

I have done some work and research on both short films and music videos in class and have taken some time to decide whether I would like to complete a Music Promotion Package or the Short Film Package for my coursework this year. I also decided at the start of the school year to work with my partner from last year again, Olivia. We thought our project turned out really well in the end and enjoyed working together as we had similar ideas and could split up the work evenly so both our strengths were used.

Our decision

We decided together that we will be doing the Music Promotion Package project. We chose to do this because we both thought it could be a challenge to create a video without any dialogue that is told completely through music. We also enjoyed the idea of creating a pop star or group and being creative in our choice of song or genre. We have talked about music together, outside of class, and felt that it would be a good idea to work on something around the subject as a pair. By having a look at some music videos online, we have some clear inspiration from artists and the type of narratives presented in music videos. We are motivated to use this existing media as inspiration for our coursework this year and are enthusiastic about researching different music genres and their videos.
